First of all - just fruit for breakfast is not enough!
You need carbohydrates (cereal, bread) to give you energy, and keep your metabolism going. Metablosim is what burns fat and turns it into energy. Fruit has no carbohydrates, only sugar, so you get a short energy burst but feel lethargic later. Carbohydrates release energy slowly and keep you full for longer, while the acid in fruit will make you feel hungrier.
Try eating wholegrain cereals with skim milk, or brown bread with peanut butter or nutella (they are both healthier than butter or jam).
Second, it is always best to work out before you eat (because you burn fat faster), but not on an empty stomach! If you only eat fruit and then work out a few hours later, you will become dehydrated and seriously risk your health. Have a hearty breakfast, wait a few hours, then eat something like a banana before you work out.
If you are trying to lose weight, the worst thing you can do is starve yourself! Because then you will have no energy to get FIT, which is what keeps you healthy in the first place! Eat your biggest meal in the morning, and make then smaller as the day goes on. Definately don't eat carbohydrates in the evening, and make sure you get enough of everything - 5 veg and 2 fruit!
Best of luck!

You need to swap what you eat for dinner with your lunch. Someone once said that for breakfast you should eat like a king, lunch a pauper and dinner a peasant. Breakfast is your most important meal and you should eat plenty of fruits and whole grains. Lunch should be filling with healthy fat (i.e. grains and nuts) so that you have energy throughout the rest of the day. You will also burn most of these calories. Then dinner should be scarce... maybe a small sandwich and plenty of veggies. This is because your metabolism by dinner time is slowing down and you won't burn those calories NEARLY as easily as the ones you eat for lunch. Also... try and exercise more. Starting out walking is great but try and up the annie by doing something more physically straining. You could add some ankle weights while you walk, and then start jogging.

Fruit alone for breakfast may not be such a great idea, you do need some carbs. A cereal such as all bran or bran flakes would be good.
Working out before lunch could leave you with a low blood sugar, making you ravenous at lunch time and undoing the good work you did. Best work out about 1 -2 hours after lunch, exercising on a full stomach can cause problems.

It's always advisable to exercise before you eat, it would be a great idea to exercise before you eat breakfast, this will kick start your metabolic rate, I would also advise that you eat more than just fruit for breakfast, why don't you also have some cereal with skimmed milk, low fat yogurt or even some wholemeal toast with a scrapping of honey or Marmite.
Exercise is a very important factor when trying to lose weight, brisk walking is excellent for this. Good luck.

First of all you should never eat before you excersise it goes against what you are trying to acheive, excersise on a full stiomach simply burns the reminents of what's in you're stomach and nothing beyond that, probably leaving you more hungry afterwards, also dont drink water before you do you're abdominals (Stomach muscles) because the water can become trapped and cause a painfull stich, i lost 8 stone and am now 12 stones in weight, a couple of hints to help speed up your metabolism are as follows, Sea Kelp tablets, take one before a meal at the start of the day this is a natural way to speed up you're metabolic rate and helps yopu burn food quicker over time with the help of excercise, you can get these from somwhere like Holland and Barret, another thing is put a spoon full of Dufrais cider vinegar in half a pint of luke warm water neck it, it tastes foul but again speeds up you're metabolism do this at the start of the day, the idea with diet alongside excercise is to speed up you're metabolism which in your case has probably become slow and stodgy. Dont eat after seven o clock at night, at this point your metabolism begins to slow down and has trouble burning foods, do this and it should go toward a trimmer, healthier you

The breakfast should be heavy as possible. Include a lot of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Moderate amount for lunch and very light dinner. Take fruit after your workout in the evening.
Workout in the evening after the meal has digested (usually 4 hrs is enough).
