Before i used to do sit-ups when i was about 17 years old but now, im 23 and had an appendisectomy but its been 2 years since i did the operation. I tried to do sit-ups again and my lower back was hurting. What can i do?

The best thing for any kind of weight lose is cardio - even if it is 20 mintues a few times a week, it will flatten your belly and help you loose weight all around.

Try leg raise instead..
That will be lying on your back facing up and put both hands behind your bums. Then raise your legs at 90 deg. and hold it for abt 20 counts. Do it for a few sets. You can also try at 45 deg. for more intense workout.

They have creams that you can buy that are effective.... when used everyday. You can get then usually at your local pharmacy.
