Have you ever tried to change yourself instead of trying to have the world adapt to make you feel more comfortable?

The biggest step in overcoming a phobia of any kind is to recognise it for what it is....only then can anyone begin to overcome it.

REply to countrybu...:
You may follow the teachings of an intrinsically homophobic religion however...phobia's are usually irrational, homophobia not only encompasses fear but also feeling of disgust or dislike, often people fear their own buried homosexual tendencies, the fear is a fear that they themselves may be gay and they think it is not acceptable because of social conditioning, religion etc.

That always depends on whether or not it is in fact a phobia.
Why should one want to change oneself if one beleves oneself to be correct and can justify his/her beliefs.
The only reaon I can see is to remain "in" with the PC crowd.

All the world's greatest thinkers have at some time in their careers forced a reluctant world to change it's mind and see things in a new light. Thinkm, for example, of the discovery of Quantum Mechanics. Even Einstein described it as "Spooky". As time went by though the evidence became ever more compelling until it is now a generally accepted area of physics.

If you're demonstrably "Right" about something, it's your duty to try to educate the masses, after all the masses (otherwise called "The Great Unwashed") are rarely either well enough educated to think for themselves or courageous enought to make a stand.

why do you say that because you dont like or disagree with something then you must have a phobia,i dont like what homo's do to each other,i dont agree with islam as i think they are totally wrong, and the same for christians are nothing but hypocrites,i confront them by ignoring their existance, and i am very comfortable with myself,

I dont have a phobia. It seems everytime someone says homosexuality is wrong, some one says you are homophobic. meaning having a fear of them. which I dont.

It's about time we except each other without trying to change them.

I had arachnophobia. I conquered it. You can't tell a spider to go away, they don't listen. Believe me I've tried.
