it is just your body adjusting to this new intruder in his system, but you can consult your doctor to ask for some other pill that does not have these side effects. Today there are many contraceptive pills that do not have side effects.

Many people say that loosing interest in sex is one of its side effects, also being moody and wanting to sleep a lot. One doctor (Dr. John Bancroft, a senior research fellow at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University) estimates that one in four women on the pill experience some negative sexual effect. These effects may include a decreased frequency of sexual thoughts, increased difficulty in becoming aroused, or decreased lubrication, which can make sex painful. Recent research co-authored by Dr. Irwin Goldstein (a urologist in Boston) suggests such effects may continue for up to four months after a woman stops taking the Pill.

Also note that antibiotics can effect the contraceptive pill, therefore whenever you visit the gp, even for a simple cold, you should always tell him that you are on the pill and which brand.

Until your system adjusts to them, the pill can upset the works.
Diarrhea, constipation, break through bleeding, sore/tender breasts and the list goes on. But rest assured that after the first month the worst is over and the second will be a little easier.
The pill is filling your body with hormones and all of the upsets are the body adjusting to it.
But also be aware that should things get too bad and too severe you should contact your doctor and let him know. A little upset is expected, but nothing major should happen.

Get off the contraceptive pill unless they are being used for purposes relating to your health such as acne, painful periods (and even then your Dr needs to find out the cause before dealing with the symptom).

I'm not saying this because I'm some religious freak that believes in pro-life (actually I believe it's the females choice) but I'm concerned that you may be risking your health and will regret it in years to come.

Years ago women in the 40's were conceiving and now because of these pills (filled with copper and other nasties) women's fertility have dropped. You may not be thinking of babies now but just try and think of what you may want in the future.

By the way they make you feel bloated, angry and actually make you gain weight.

You should get all of your questions answered by your Dr. before taking any prescribed medication. You didn't say if it is #1 or #2 that you are having frequency with. If you are peeing a lot, you could have a urinary tract infection, in which case you need to see the Dr. for antibiotics asap since they get painful, FAST. Good luck!

there are many alternatives today fir birth control without the side effects of pills, or there are different pills without the same side effects. it might be a good idea to contact the doctor that prescribed this particular brand and discuss a change to another type of contraceptive or another pill.

if you feel that way , you need to consult your ob gyne right away coz that must be one of the side effects of the pills that youve been taking coz i know somebody that felt the same you did and she didnt know that she's pregnant and she still continued taking it so when she gave birth the babay didnt last long. the baby only lived for a few days.......so you have to consult your trusted ob gyne so you will know what to do best and for you to know of what is really happening inside your tummy.and aside form that your health might be in danger. coz there are cases that your liver will be affectd of what you take especially if its medicine.
