I think, it's because religions allow you to give up control, responsibility, self confidence, and most importantly
your own deification.
I mean, I am as special as Jesus ever was.
Or, for that matter Moses, or Muhammad.
I am human and I am special.
It's as simple as that.
I am conscious and I am devine.
So are you.
Don't ever let someone take that from you or cause you to put something in it's place.
You give up a piece of yourself when you do.
Some people call it your soul.
I call it my devinity.

My dear, I think you anwered your own question.. I dont belive atheists are against religion.. they just belive what you have said. I, myself am a god fearing individual, non-denominational, but I have respect for those who see the world differently.. and I think that we are all pretty much the same, if we really look at it..
Remember the Devil is in the details.. I think that applies, even to those of us who belive the Devil is nothing more than a figment of someones imagination.
Religion causes wars, divides people, controls them, as you said. God is something very different..
Athiests are not "against" religions, in general, because religion is like politics, and to be against all politics everywhere whould be anarcy.. and we should all know that anarcy is a nice idea.. but totally ubsurd.
To be against all religion would be hate.. seperation.. war..
sounds like a religion..

...If you are divine as you say, when can I see you walk on water?

...RE the Lord Jesus Christ:

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, Who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
“Full atonement!” can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in Heav’n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

...He is coming back...won't you trust in Him while you can?

"How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" Hebrews 2:3

For doing any work self-confidence is needed.

Religions deny self-confidence - and direct you to church or God. They require you to surrender to some Guru or mysterious God - and claim that we are nothing in front of those powers. Religions demean humans and glorify something - which they can't themselves explain unambiguously. Large number of religions and their mutual differences is an indicator that none of them have got it!

If human race is one, can there be multiple explanations for it?

If human race is one, would definition for humanity be different for different humans?

If Self confidence is needed for doing any work by humans, then what is the need for glorifying something other?

Self confidence is possible only by understanding self, the existence around, and self's relationship with it.

and atheists would like to control everyone? And be responsible for everyone, and be confident you can attain heaven on your own merit? And if you are divine, then why cant you do the miracles our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did and still does?

You don't have a problem with religion and its followers yet you in fact bash it but you do have a problem with God. You hate him because you won't conform to his morality so you reject him and his word and set out to worship yourself out of pure hate for the one who created you. This is a pure example of Satan's prideful behavior which got him kicked out of Heaven and into Hell.
