Hard Bed For Back Pain

As I wrote earlier in another question, floating in water for up to an hour at a time helps to relieve some pain.

As to your bed, softer beds versus harder are more of a preference thing, but with softer beds, you tend to sink into them more than you would with a hard bed, which could lead to your posture being off kilter, and more pain, whereas too hard of a bed can do the exact same thing.

If I were you, I'd go out and buy a memory foam TOPPER... in other words, just the 2 inch think bed cover, not the entire bed.

They tend to run around 200.00 but they will take your hard bed and give it just enough softness to it that it should help a bit.

Yes a hard bed could cause back pain, just like sleeping on the floor will cause back pain.

If you dont already have a foam topper, you dont really need memory foam egg crate works just as well, go get one.

If you are just looking for a new mattress all together, buy a mattress in the same firmness with a pillow top on it. I havent had any complaints about mine.

Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things. Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles. Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it

Limited specifics does make it difficult to respond with any degree of accuracy.. Too many things to consider.. are you a tummy sleeper? How many pillows do you use? Lots of information helps to make such a determination..If you want to email me, will give some stretching exercises which should help. But, did you ever have this problem before getting the firm bed?

It's possible, but I prefer firm beds. A soft one can also contribute to the problem in my opinion. I think that it should be at least medium in firmness.
