I met this guy Saturday nite and i really like him. We swapped numbers but he hasnt text me yet. how long do guys usually wait before they text?should i text him and if so, how long should i wait?

i normally give it 2 or 3 days. if he hasnt texted u by the end of today then forget it

Are you saying you swapped a digit? Unless it means something else...you got his number...oh God! And you like him too ...My dear you will regret why you did do what you should do if you are waiting him to call you ...CALL him!...tell him you had a good time...last Saturday and stuffs...and finally you hope to see him again...blah ... blah...that is a nice move. By the way...men are not like women they do not give appointment to give a call to someone they like...after the swap the give call right away and saying " I miss your voice... that is why I called you"...Please remained me any time if I should listen to it...you know what I mean... you do not have time to buy a minute...things change in a fraction of a second when it comes to relationship unless you show him your values I a close range...In his arm.

Well if hes REALLY keen he'd have txd by now - but perhaps hes waiting till nearer the weekend to see if you're heading out then as he may not be in a position to meet you before that.
Or if hes shy he may be waiting for you to text. Its such a crappy situation to be in - you dont want to look to desperate by texting him and then he may just be too shy to text you so its a no win situation!!!
If you really like him then maybe you could text him - but keep it really simple - hey hows it going remember me? - something light where you're just being friendly - that way if he was shy you've shown him you're interested him and let it up to him to arrange a second date. I hope things work out!! xx

sometimes guys just ask for your number and don't text or call you after that because they were not really interested in the first place but thought it is more rude to not ask for your number than let you make a complete fool of yourself waiting for the phone to ring. if he really likes you, he will do the move. if he doesn't text or call you in three days, move on.

In my day we would wait for the guys to get in touch with us, many a moment was lost because guys are normally useless as you will find out when you marry one, God love them!! so, my advice is this, if you like him then text him, nothing ventured nothing gained, you may be disappointed but you may be very glad you made the move, if he lost your number you may never know!!

There is no normal time to wait with texting being so instant. I usually text a polite thanks for an enjoyable evening to them the same evening or next day and to check that they have got home safely. If you have his number, send him a text message and see if he is up for meeting up again.

If he is like me he might be waiting for his response from you.He may think he does not need to pester you. Do youself a favour sweetheart, Just Text " Hi, how u doing" then wait. If he does not reply he probably is the type you dont want in your life. You know those "weekend belong to me" types. Goodluck dear.

Some times we dont txt at all, or we have lost the number or we cant remember what you looked like.
You might aswell send him a text, something like 'what you up to 2nite fancy a drink and a chat? '
What's the worst that can happen he wont text back!!

Sweetie, you are never going to get a date that way! Text him ASAP before he loses interest!!! Most guys will not contact a chick first, but will wait for her to make the 1st move.

Was the guy drunk at the time if so probably doesn`t remember or he is already in a relationship so text him all the same see what response you get ok good luck
