What is the oldest you have had a GSD ( german shepherd dog) untill it died. I currently have a 16 yr old GSD. She is doing really well apart from she is going a little deaf, bless her. We are getting another male one after her. She likes her boys lol.

I had a beautiful German Shepherd dog named Cassie that only lived until she was 10 but that is because she developed a rare cancer of her mouth and jaw. There was nothing the vet could do for her really and it was a fast growing one but, we made the last days of her life the best for her. She was my best friend and i loved her dearly and part of my heart will always be with her. I was only about 16 when i got her and she was at my side the whole time. I know yours will live to be even alot older than now its all in the TLC you give them and i can tell your great with yours! Hope you have many more years together. My male,Anton,was 14 when he had to be put down due to severe spinal arthritis and bloat.My current GSD is a spayed female,named Lulu.She will be 6 in January,and is in perfect health. My brother had a female named Back who was 14 when she died from liver and kidney failure.

Ours lived to be 11. She was a wonderful dog. She got degenerative spinal disease that was progressive and we ended up having to put her down in January. We just got a new GSD pup and hope he has a long and healthy life with us!
