I've seen some really beautiful women who are dumb as bricks, and it's a serious turn-off to me.
It's not crap. I want a woman who is just as psycho as I am, if she's hot it's just a bonus. Physical attration is important, but dumb as a brick just makes me extremely turned off... (I don't think in terms of one night stands).

It's actually kinda true, "what's inside" does matter...just not as much as it should
It breaks down to math really:
Personality=A
Looks=B
Brains=C
A only= no date
B only= we have sex BUT I bail in the morning and never call you
C only= no date
A+C= Just good friends (no sex, but cool to hang out with)
A+B= Short Relationship
B+C= Friends with benefits
A+B+C= Long-term relationship (possibly even marriage)
I must admit, however, that you sound like you fit into the "B only category"
