It is possible to believe in a lot of other things when "God" is removed from the picture.

Luck -- both good and bad -- is one of those things that could not be seen, but still affect the life of a person.

People could believe in a rational way of conducting themselves without resorting to scripture, that they are responsible to their own actions in relating to and affecting others and should therefore think before taking rash actions.

I believe in beauty and art and that what I find beautiful and artful does not necessary have the same meaning or effect on others because they are very personal. So is a good many things in life.

I believe that we as a human race has left much to be desirable, but the potential to improve is at the same time for the same reason embedded into the same nature. Our choices are laid right before us without the need of "God" or a higher power. All we need is to open our eyes and admit to ourselves when we are being inadequate -- if not for the sake of ourselves, then for our children and their children.

Is it so hard to believe in those? Or is it just easier to attribute everything to "God" and be done with reasoning? Do you really have to be an atheist to see?

I believe in respecting YOUR right to believe in those things I do not; I also believe that I should be polite and courteous because it is the way I was brought up; in fact, I was brought up to help those in need of help, too, but without the expectation of a reward or repayment. I believe it is my duty to help resolve conflicts and quarrels and help bring peace and understanding wherever I may be. I believe that fairness should prevail regardless of a person's ethnic background, or national background, religious background, gender or orientation... I believe that I should respect your rights, freedoms and liberties, too. I believe that I should not expect YOU to do something that I find distasteful or something that is below my dignity to do, or that you should be entitled to live as comfortable as I can within my own means, without living off of others; I believe no one should impose their beliefs on me, and that I should not have to have anyone annoying me with their slogans and propaganda and trying to indoctrinating me into their religion or religious views and/or beliefs. I also believe YOU should reciprocate what I extend to you.
