If the first day of your last period was 9th September, your next one will start friday 6th- that is if you have a 28 day cycle.
You are most likely to become pregnant around 14 days after the first day of your period. Good luck and have fun trying !

Your period is mainly determined determined by the cycles of the moon. However if you tend to have irregular periods they are just plain unpredictable. If you are irregular perhaps you should ask your GP to check your hormone balance. A low dose oestrogen contraceptive will stabilise your cycle while you are taking it but this is not for you if you are planning to have a child. It is recommended that you have at least 12months without oral contraception before you try to get pregnant. Many women know when or shortly after they conceive. Sometimes if he is sensitive your partner will notice too. Newly pregnant ladies develop a certain glow about them. I guess they just look more radiant somehow. Best wishes

If you are not one of the lucky 'regular' people, trying to pinpoint your dates for optimal conception chances is really hard.

I had to rely on two other methods: the temperature method, which involved taking my temp every morning and charting it and then watching for the spike which indicates ovulation. And the other way was kinda nasty...and involved checking and testing your vaginal discharge.

Both were a royal pain in the a** BUT I do have 3 kids to show for it......GOOD LUCK!

Take your temperature at the same time every morning. Keep a record or plot it on a graph. Your temperature will fluctuate according to where you are in your menstrual cycle. You can then identify when you are ovulating. Good luck.
