Okay, my blood is boiling right now because i just found out that Jehovah's Witnesses (Elders) have been covering up child molesters in their congregation. They don't bother to alert the police, they just give the person's name the Watchtower Headquarters where it is put into a database with about 30,000 other pedophiles. I grew up as a J.W. and it was so hard to leave because of the brain washing they do to you. But I managed to and my family is still J.W.'s I live at home with my mom and 2 siblings who still are. I can't stand them right now because I know that when I tell them about this they will deny it and call me an apostate. This info was from BBC, Dateline, New York Times, Newsweek, and other very credible sources. I feel like punching my mom in the face for being so ignorant. I draw the line at being in a cult that allows for pedophiles to not be reported. J.W.'s always keep everything hush hush, including their failed prophecies. I have so many psychological problems because of the way I was raised as a JW. They keep you isolated so you have no one else in your life but the JW. I had such a hard time dealing with the loss of my lifetime beliefs and way of life. It has been a hard adjustment. These innocent children had no where to go and the Elders they are supposed to trust betrayed them and let them continue to be abused!!! I swear I hate JW!!! I hate them!!!

By legal law, they are reqired to report it, but, as we recently have seen with Roman Catholic priests, a lot of it gets pushed under the table. I have worked in a child daycare, and there are very strict guidelines, as well as they constantly emphasizing that anyone who does is mandated by the State to report anything they suspect could be abuse.

I am also a seminary graduate have studied the teachings of the J.W's. I know your family is told to now shun you, but, if you think it would help, I could email you my findings (I quote right from Watchtower literature). I admire your bravery and ability to think for yourself amongst the pressure I know you must be under right now! My prayers are with you. Take Care.

Religion is supposed to be about following something that is good and right not criminal....anything that is against the law should be reported, especially pedophilia as this destroys a child from with in. Religion is not supposed to cover it up.

You are right in what you feel. I hope that you will find closure in the decision you made about leaving JW. I hope that which ever path you choose will be the right one for you, to let you grow and thrive and succeed in the world, while at the same time giving you a sense of security, guidance and peace of mind.

Absolutely not, all pedophiles and child molesters should be reported and the children should be removed from the homes...it is sicking and disgusting. If someone volunteers this information in confidence to and Elder, Priest, Pastor, Preacher...they are already SCREAMING for HELP and the next step to the authorities should be made...

As a 'church-hopper', you have helped me to steer clear. I have had mixed feelings about them for most of my life, now. Not bad, necessarily. Sometimes even amiable. But I have been in churches that are run by Satan and accomplices, and they are out there. Thank you for the heads-up.

TO ADD: The 'disclaimer' below by achtung gives me the creeps! Man, were they onto this little conversation FAST! Very organized. Very determined. JW is nothing if not determined, right?

Readers, be very cautious. It is your soul at risk. "Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, I shall fear no evil..."

Cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses, Born Again Christians, Catholics, and Mormons --- among others, of course --- have a tendancy to keep their dirty little secrets away from the public eye. They know that they have plenty of wierd, scary, ridiculous, and dangerous stuff that is already known by the "outside world" that they certainly don't want to add to it and bring even more well-deserved negative attention to themselves. By the way, if it is in any way possible for you, you need to get AWAY from your crazy family as FAST as possible for your the good of your mind and your emotions!

Jehovah's Witnesses want child abusers and other criminals in prison. Of course a victim and her family must decide how best to work with police and prosecutors regarding the crime against her, and Witness congregation elders will always work within secular law on these matters.

The congregation can disfellowship (excommunicate) an unrepentant sinner, but only governmental authorities can imprison the sinner. Victims and their families need to work with secular governments if they hope for criminal prosecution.

It is sad when apostate former Witnesses and anti-Witness activists slander this great Christian religion with this most vile of accusations. Sad but completely expected. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

They have to do whatever it takes to
maintain the standard of living they are used to having.
Reality is biting you on the behind.
Can you handle it?
Are you going to do something about it?
Or are you just going to cower in the corner
and pray about it?
They are hoping you do the latter.

I hope this can shed some light
on the life
inside the propaganda beltway
that so many are living.

The pedophiles are in control.
Hunt them down and slaughter them all.
It is written.

Instead of attacking only religious leaders which is understandable where is the parents in all this? The parents should be reported and the children should be taken away. This sort of explain ur hatred for religion.
