Just contact the insurance agent and inform him or her and have them remove you, say you no longer drive that vehicle, on policy and you'll be getting your own policy, tell them you are divorcing. They should remove you right then and there.

If you have your own vehicle already on that policy, then call the insurance company and inform them of the separation. Request a quote on your own policy and continue research quotes for the best price. If you dont have your own vehicle and you are on his policy as a driver, then you don't have anythign to worry about. You can still get your own insurance policy without being taken off of his.
That only means that if something were to happen while you were driving his vehicle, it would be covered by the insurance because you are an insured driver on that policy.

yes/no. If the policy is in both names as the named Insured, you can call the agent and have yourself removed. However, if you are a secondary driver on his policy, only he can remove you from the policy.
HOWEVER, if you are the secondary driver on the policy and your soon-to-be ex will not take you off, call the agent, explain the situation, and they should be able to help you get off his policy.

Do you have a vehicle in your possession that is on the policy? You can call them, as the spouse, and tell them that you've gotten other insurance and are separated, and to delete the vehicle and you from the policy.

If you are on the policy and are able to talk to the policy PPL about ur policy then YES you can opt to get out! I know I had trouble today... lol.... my bf put me on his insurance a week ago and I wanted to call them about a bill we recieved... well they wouldn't let me know or really talk to them cuz my BF never SPECIFICALLY said I was able to know the details. Lol. They needed the actual words "Susan is able to know the details." How stupid! lol... We thought that if I was added I was automatically able to get the details. Guess not. So my point is are you the OWNER of the policy or are you under his name completely? and have you ever called the policy PPL and talked to them personally about your account? If so Then YES you should be able to tell them YOU don't want to be on that account. Maybe they could transfer ur account (name) to a NEW one with JUST you. Just let them know the situation and maybe that will help too! :) good luck!

Yes, you can call the insurance carrier and have yourself removed from the policy.
Make sure you have your own insurance policy first!

All you have to do is get your own policy with the same company, or with another company. Check around for the cheapest price, go under cheap insurance.com.
