You first need to take an ACT 120 Course and pass it. Once you pass you still have to go to Harrisburg to take a writen test if you pass that writen test you will be given your certification number and only then can you start looking for jobs.

like most other states...be a hs grad, no or minor criminal record, be physically qualified, apply to the agency you wish to work for. State police probably have higher requirements, like 2 year crim justice degree, and of course if you have this you are more qualified for the lesser jobs. Some need age 19, or 21
