Even if it means seperating families, and affecting the american economy.
Why are republicans against legalization?
Don't they want more Christians, family orieted, hard working people??

First of all let me clarify the situation for those that only speak from what they hear on the TV. Illegals as many call them (Its funny how we don't even call murderers, child abusers illegal but we call those that cross into the US --Misdemeanor-- Illegal), do contribute a lot into the economy. Most end up paying taxes in many forms, sales tax, many illegals own homes and pay property taxes, those that make up social security numbers or use others SSN pay taxes that they never file to get refunds. Those that buy homes will fix the borrowed SSN's credit by paying off their collections and raising their credit scores so they can by homes. By working for cheap they help reduce the price of many items that we Americans use every day. You ***** about $3/gallon gas, how about $3 cabbage, $7/lb tomatoes, how about Motel 6 raising their price to $60 a night instead of $37. The fact is working Americans are getting old and many jobs are being left open. We need new young workers.

Illegals put money into SS so the older americans can have health care.
Illegals don't use the health care system as many people claim. I know many that are too scared to go to the hospital or use any public aid. They will visit clinincs and pay cash or got to Catholic charities health centers and pay cash as well. The fact is that Americans themselves are draining the health care system not illegals.
I would stop deportations and raids now!!
give a period of 6-12 months were evey illegal would have to register. Those that don't would face fines or late fees to registered upto 30 days after the grace period. Have all of them go through background checks. Those that are cleared if the can prove they have been here 7+ years and have a family would be given citizenship. 3-6 yrs given residency. Less than 3 given a work permit and have to re apply to get it again. Guest worker program as many illegals just come to work for a few months and return. Not everyone likes it here.

this country started with people from many countries coming here and starting over to work and raise their families...i believe we should let people from all countries come and document them, help them get jobs, give them social security cards and then they will pay taxes like all of us do now...that will stop all the stupid words that people are saying now, they have a chance to do better for themselves and their family......and it will help the economy all over the country..... when people that have big money come over they have no problem [the greatest power in this country is green power] and if it is good for the rich to come in then it is good for all people...after all this is what started our country in the first place [i feel also that before letting anyone in and documenting them to live and work in the country that some type of background check should be done, [we do not need terrorists or that type of people that might do us harm]

theyrs a reason why they havent been deported, does anyone think this government gives a damn about splittin up families, they would do it today if it was in theyr interest that fact is those illegals contribute a great deal to our economy their cheap hard working labor has been a great boost to this economy, fact is when they finally erect the wall the us will set them selves in another economical mistake, to give an example take agriculture, agriculture will automatically lose 80% of theyr workers witch means they will be outta buisness, which means well have to import all our fruits and veggies from other up and coming economies in south america and asia just like we import our oil today, when that happens youll still see republicans and democrats pointing the finger at eachother

I'm dead against the seperation of families. If there're children born to illegals in the US the children are citizens by birth right.
Some of those children also have children now since they have been in the US will over 20 yrs.

Is becoming documented so dam**d difficult?
How about this, undocumented ones become documented but not citizens, and those born in America don't automatically become citizens but must pass a test similar to the naturalization test (in intensity) in order to become eligible to vote? In order to vote you have read English on your own, count, multiply, solve a quadratic equation, and determine the truth from three heavily biased 2-page stories?
Suddenly voting would be valued by all and votes would MEAn so much more!

You just said my answer, because they're undocumented. We have no idea what type of people they are. They could be sex offenders, gang members, drug traffickers or terrorists. All illegal immigrants gotta go and come back legally, not just Mexicans. I agree majority of them are hard working, Christian, family oriented people but some aren't.

Your Mexican representative, Solomon Ortiz (D) TX uses that bogus argument. He is not interested in uniting the families of future Democrats on the other side of the border. The law reads that they are tresspasssers and must go. Too bad he, and others, refuse to support the laws they swore to uphold.

I believe in deportation, the illegals are here under false pretenses and should obtain citizenship legally, why should everyone here suffer?

I am not a big fan of Christians and I am a devout Republican since high school.
They are illegal, uneducated, and a burden. Let the USA save some of the natural resources we have left.
