Neither pride nor fear would stop me from trying to fix it.
I would be afraid that some outside force would intervene and stop it from happening.

Fear of Rejection. Make it easy for the person to fix, we all make mistakes hey. Thats only if YOU want it fixed.
I doubt pride would stand in ones way. If you made a mistake and you can fix it, thats something to be proud off.

Jesus Christ, woman!!! Are you gonna do a poll and if 'pride' wins... let the feeling of pride prevent you from fixing it, or if 'fear of rejection' wins... let the feeling of pride prevent you from fixing it? Its so simple.... you are focussing on the wrong thing. You KNOW BOTH your fear and pride are holding you back. If you think you made a huge mistake... then...you made a HUGE MISTAKE... and surprise surprise... you need to admit that to the other party if you want them back!!!!!!

Nothing would prevent me from fixing it as it's not about me, my pride, or my fear of rejection. It should be about US. Now, by reading your post, I can't be certain that you truly love this person because: a) You hurt them in the first place b) You are only thinking about YOU after the fact (just my humble opinion). In the incident of true love, your question does not exist.

Depending on what it was and how much it hurt the other person you may not be able to fix it. And If they were hurt bad enough they may not really care if you want to fix it. But if they are open to talk I would let them know that even thou you would understand if they no longer wanted a relationship you are very sorry and realize you were wrong and would like to get back together if they were willing. But don't hold your breath it may be that you'll have to move on but at-least you wont have to wonder what if.

No; I'm not bigger than the relationship. The only way pride would stand in the way is if you were so self absorbed that your pride was more important than the love of another. Very sad.

Atonement - To amend or reparations made for an injury or wrong.
Get to work especially if this is a matter of the heart. For you to compose this question shows you have a conscious to right the wrong.

If you love that person there is no such thing as pride. That person is your pride. If you do something that hurts that person you have to try to make it right.

swallowing your piride takes a lot, I would ask myself is the relationship was worth fighting for, if it is I would swallow it as fast as i could and do all that I could to put right my wrong. Its not easy for sure but if its worth it then go for it. it has to be worth a shot
