Im sure you she would love some alone time, take her on a picnic-have the kids clean the house if capable-or you could-take her to the movies-or bowling-or to museums, check what is free in your community. The whole idea is just make her day about her.Make sure you plan well she will appreciate the effort She should enjoy..have pictures of you and the kids put on a dvd-or collage depending on your technical skill-Make a c.d of her favorite songs--put it in the c.d player or tape deck and take a long ride-or play it at your picnic-you can also go to the mall and pick out a gift if(if you still feel the need to get a traditional gift) she wants one-no complaining-

Sweet of you to check into it. If her life is anything like mine after the kids came I'd say that for a woman who's s 38 year old w/children, a perfect gift is a lobotamy or a year supply of xanax and/or a whole day off away and buy herself with spay treatment/beauty treatment.

A couple treatments at a spa for the day...facial, pedicure and a massage. I don't know one women who wouldn't want to pamper herself and time alone to relax for a few hours will be a great gift too. Check out prices and packages at different spas and either buy her a package you think she will like or a gift certificate in whatever amount and let her pick what she wants done.

An inexpensive gift idea is a coupon book that you make yourself.

You can put coupons for things like "Free Backrub", "No Chores Day", "No Kids for a Day", "Dinner and a Movie"... that kind of thing. But be careful to only make coupons for things that you're willing to do at a moments notice.

Totally the spa treatment, my husband recently suprised me with that, and I thought it was the best thing anyone could do for me. He told me he had to go somewhere, and needed me to go with him. I went, he had packed evening clothes and dropped me off at the spa, with the dress, and I felt like a million dollars, and then we went out for dinner. I felt shiny, its not easy raising children, and she will not complain about the money, its well spent, and deserved. Just shop around.
