Hair growth in females is a natural instinct and they definitely not lose hair as males do after a particular age. If you are losing hair it clearly indicates that you are not taking proper care of your hair. Or there may be some problem with your water supply… it may be hard water or might be having some impurities.
The following may help taking good care of your hair:
1.Do ensure that you do not have lice and any skin problem with scalp
2.Hair should be protected against harsh sunshine
3.Hair should be cleaned thoroughly if they are drenched with sweat
4.Hair should not be kept wet for long and be dried at the earliest
5.Female hair should be washed with mild shampoo at least twice a week, followed with conditioner (shampoos and conditioners are available for colored hair… these may also be tried… ensure that they are from a reputed source, even if they are cheaper)
6.If you are using hair colors there is possibility that the growth may be affected… you may opt for a reduced frequency of coloring and do follow instructions and precautions specified in its enclosed literature
7.Regular application of coconut oil gives nutrition and lubrication to the dried hair follicles… application should be accompanied by scalp massage and steaming with hot wet towel... best time is evening or forenoon on holidays
8.Do not plan to go for medication for hair growth as it would not be affective
Good luck

Done use cheap shampoo, invest in a good one! I use Paul Mitchell shampoos and other products. Many things can damage your hair, even water, before styling your hair put a product in it that will prevent damage when blow drying, curling, ect

Dont color or perm your hair. Get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks. Use a good conditioner like pantene or one from the salon. Use a wide toothed comb when conditioner is in your hair to get most of the tangles out. Then just wrap it with a towel when your done and let it absorb most of the water out. Always brush or comb it from the bottom up allowing the tangles to slide off detangled ends. And never just rip through your hair to brush out comb it out, take your time.

1. Keep your self hydrated (drink at least 8 cups of water a day)
2. towel dry your hair 3-5 times each month (to give it a rest from harsh blow dryers)
3. After you blow dry, DO NOT brush your hair immediately! (after blow drying, your roots become brittle and will need to cool off for a while)
After your hair becomes cool, spray it with a conditioning spray. Try SAMY Salon System's, leave-in conditioner (It's in a pink bottle)
or PAUL MITCHELL Awapuhi Moisture Mist.
Then brush your hair and style!

Drink lots of water, take a multivitamin, deep condition hair under a hooded drier, get trims, use quality products, make sure to towel dry hair well before blow drying because otherwise with the excess water, it's like boiling your ends (not good!).

You can use Patene products, I like the alot. But basically use anything with anti-breaking formula in it. Try not to put so much alcohol in your hair too so be careful of hair spray and what not.
