It is said a Truly Kind and Loving person doesnt know that she/he is kind and loving... the reason is it is not a forced thing but a natural part of their lives just like breathing.
The same way, true christians don't need to advertise themselves to be TRUE or CHOSEN, but their Kindly Speech, Loving Spirit and Forgiving heart which is second nature to them will without a doubt express the very qualities Christ himself had shown during his lifetime.
People, especially non-believers are neither stupid nor blind, if a Christian preaches virtue and morality but act the opposite, don't blame people for being judgemental, because the Christian has put themselves on a pedestal to be judged.
Duringhis life time, Christ exhibited Strength by his Humility, Courage by his Faith and Power by his Love for all beings Believers or Heathens... he had no labels or borders just all embracing Kindness and Love for anyone who approaches him.
These days? How many Christians do we see are like that? Only a precious handful, the rest are Loving and Kind ONLY IF you believe, otherwise its Brimstone and Fire curse cast on their faces. The quiet ones I find are the truer ones from observation....

A "fake christian" is someone who doesn't believe but claims to. Why anyone would, I have no idea except to use it as an easy-out from harassment _by_ christians.
A _real christian_ is someone who believes there was a jeebus. Martin Luther King Jr. was a real christian. Adolf Hitler was a real christian.
Why do I mention King Jr. and Hitler? Because many christians will claim, "He's not a christian!" because someone belongs to a particular cult - oops, sect. Evangelicals say catholics aren't christians. Mainstream christians say mormons aren't christians. The christians who are against hate say the KKK aren't christians.
All such claims are dishonest. As I said at the top, a christian is someone who believes he's following the mythical jeebus. That means racists christians are christians; it means christian terrorists (eg. James Kopp, Eric Rudolph) are christians; it means christian serial killers are christians (Lizzie Borden, Jeffery Dahmer, Dennis Rader).
Saying such people are christians does not infer or suggest that all christians are like them. It simply means christians should stop trying to claim "who is and who isn't" because of whether they like someone or what they do.
Belief in the jeebus myth is the deciding factor, not you or any other christian. I'm sure I could find some "true christian" somewhere who would call your particular brand of christianity a "form of satanism".

I cannot presume to speak for all other Christians. But, I know that we are still human beings with flaws. There are people I have known who have admitted that they are hurting deep inside and are afraid to show it on the outside. There are few, if any human beings who are totally free from the emotional pains suffered in life. Whether or not some Christians are TRYING to be fake, I cannot say, but I know of dear Christian brothers and sisters who are struggling to overcome their past and don't know how to be as open as they someday will be able to be. Let's be charitable toward one another.

well yup we could all be wrong ... and there is something out there that no one has thought about
but as long as we are happy in our personal truth and live a good life .. what else can we do
but we should not condemn anyone else for having a different " truth " to us

Of course! Jesus warned us that there would be. The main problem, they do not know that they are fake, this is because they think that they are Christians, because of false doctrines. It is not our actions or beliefs that makes us a Christian. It is God replacing our spirit with His Spirit. Jesus called this action as being, "Born Again." We must be "Born Again" just to be able to see the Kingdom of God, then we must remain faithful to God to be able to enter into the Kingdom of God after we die.

I agree and disagree with you. The Bible says that we will be known by our fruit, not our words. It is true that what comes out of our mouth defiles the man, but satan plays in our playpen, look at all its emissaries poking their nose in this site. I know that we love the sinner not the sin, but we are supposed to rebuke those that are out in the left field.
This is not the best way to see what kind of fruit we produce. It is reflected in the values, and service we offer the believers, the community and our home lives, that is real. Here anybody can say whatever they want to without being their real self. Some of them do show their butts, but that is usually the bully atheists.

Of course there are "fake" Christians. They all do it for different reasons, though. For some it is simple loyalty to their family and friends. For others it may be they are afraid to speak about their real beliefs (or lack thereof) because of fear of reprisal. Some do it to make the right "connections" in their towns and communities for business purposes, political motives, or both. There are as many reasons to be a fake Christian as there are fake Christians themselves.

yes, as are some atheist. everyone has their own perceptions, about what being a devout follower of any faith is about. what the world needs in my opinion, is more tolerance, for those who worship differently from either you or i. so keep the faith and stop having expectation of others. do your "christian" thing and don't worry about the rest of the world's actions or beliefs.

"Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car." ~unknown In other words, if you're going to talk the talk, you had better be ready to walk the walk!
Yes, I think there are some very closed-minded Christians out there and I think there are some who are very superficial in living out their faith. But every religion is going to have people like that, giving it a bad name.
