You don't have to thaw them if you are using a crock pot, that is the beauty of a crock pot!! It cooks while you are away. Low setting usually takes 8 to 10 hours while the high setting takes 4 to 6 hours. You can put raw chicken, pork, beef, whatever you want. Try the Banquet Crockpot Classics. SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! They are about 5 or 6 bucks at wal-mart. Then you'll know what I mean. Oh, they are in the frozen dinner section.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COOK THE MEAT BEFORE HAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT TO A CROCKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I make a beef roast in the crock pot: I put a FROZEN roast in the pot, add potatoes, carrots and onion along with a packet of dry onion soup mix, a cup of water and bay leaves. I put the temp on low and after 5 - 6 hours I have ALWAYS had the most tender, juicy roasts! It is soooo easy!

As long as the meat is cooked. You probably don't even have to thaw the ingredients beforehand just add a cup or so of water to bring it back to life. Why? You could always just cook stove top in about half the time.

You aren't supposed to put frozen stuff in a crock pot. It may say that in the manual. Mine does.

Why freeze? Just crock 'em. then freeze the meal in single serve containers. Microwave them up and you are set for months/days/weeks.
