Ahh... dreams. Who knows? So many theories, so many different ideas. I have reoccuring dreams all the time. I'd have to agree with the answerer that said love issues cause them a lot. The single most reoccuring dream I've had has been about an ex-girlfriend. We broke up around 8 years ago, and I've dated a few other women since, but I still dream about her at least a few times a year, totally out of the blue. Personally, I don't think it has any meaning, its just my head playing games with me.
Maybe you saw a snake bite someone in a movie or something and it made an impression on you on some level you're not aware of?

Sometimes I know you might feel like you have had the dream twice. But sometime your dream can tell you , you have had it twice.
I have proven this has happened to me once or twice or maybe more. I feel like I had the same dream before but I am not sure. I do know that sometimes people do have the same dreams. Mostly fear and love makes recurring dreams but they might not be exactly the same each time or may even be a lot different.

If you are dreaming the same dream it is meant to help you in some way. It could be something that will happen or it could be you are problem solving while you sleep. Read Sylvia Browne's book: Dreams. It explains it best.

Unresolved issues, that is why you are dreaming more than once. Your subconscious mind is not settled with things you did, said in the day time.
It all depends on the dream on exactly what it brings
