I think these god damned things are just another way for the Govt to **** us... I got one because I was sitting in a traffic jam and the light turned red and I was stuck... It would cost me more to miss work and go down town to pay and park and then pay court fees..... **** these spies!!

The cameras are ran by a private company and are controled by the police departement in that city. If you did not drive though the intersections when the light turned red that you should be fine. If you did then a ticket will be sent to the person who the car is registered to with a picture of the driver. And that will be a point on your driving record.

Hope that answered your question

You will get a ticket for turning on that red, if your tires are in front of the first white line but not in front of the the second you can dispute it. But if they are in front of the second you will receive a nice little letter with a cute picture of your expressionless self as if you were on a theme park ride, with a fine of around $350.00 plus. You should be allowed to take traffice school so the point won't go on your record.

Sorry I don't live in Cali but I can't believe it's illegal to make to right turn on a red light. Are you sure about that, everywhere else allows this. Wow, how 1950's. Anyway, if that is the law (and I still don't believe it is) if you saw the flash then you set off the camera, but you should have seen 2 flashes because the camera is set to get you coming and going, ie your front plate and your rear plate. Are you sure that wasn't a left turn instead?
