If a white English-speaking American expresses displeasure over the prediction that his ethnic group (if present trends continue) is destined to lose its majority status, he will be called a “racist." But Hispanic activists publicly gloat over the increase of their ethnic group. Why isn’t that racist?

You're right, and you're not alone in wondering about this hypocrisy. Here, check out this message that was forwarded to me by a friend;

"Someone else besides me has finally said it. How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian
Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.

And then there are just Americans.

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me "Whiteboy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" and that's OK.

But if I call you, N!gger, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-n!gger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, G@@k, or Chink you call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United ***** College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.

If whites had WET (White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists.
If whites had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.
If whites had White History Month, we'd be racists.
If whites had ANY organization for only whites to "advance" the lives of the caucasian race, we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain old Chamber of Commerce.

I wonder who pays for all of that?

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US , yet if there were "White Colleges" that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us - but, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member engaged in a crime, or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud of who I am and where I came from but, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?"

NOTE: You liberals are welcome to thumbs me down because I KNOW that YOU are biased against MY right to speak FREELY. And because of THAT, YOU are racist hypocrites!

I am NOT advocating seperatism. I am NOT advocating any unfair treatment, what I am advocating IS fairness for ALL races. Just because someone's ancestors encountered unfair conditions generations ago, is NO reason for a reversal in-balance.

Equal opportunity gives ALL races, ethnicities or groups the SAME opportunities. And THAT is what should prevail. But it is the leaders of extremist special interest groups that seek a knee-jerk reaction to change. And it is just not right - no matter what the fabricated justification they espouse.

I live and work in a foreign country. I have been here for 15 years, and thrive in the environment. My business partners are Korean (Asian) and Pakistani (Middle-Eastern Islamic) and we deal with numerous African nationals, or African Americans. We get along just fine. Among my friends are many hispanics, and Indos.

Anyone who thinks my comments are racially motivated needs to broaden their shallow mind. I challenge you to compare YOUR circumstances to mine, and see who is the most accepting and tolerant of differences in people and cultures. You or me.

But the bottom line is; what is fair is fair, and what is unfair is well...just exactly that.

And what if I, as an Asian American, were to make a big deal out of the fact that Asians have replaced Mexicans as the largest immigrant group? While there are still many more Mexicans in the US (because they have had a few hundred years head start), don't be surprised if the next minority power in the US is Asians.

Here are a two reasons why:

1) Asians value education much more than Mexicans. Here's a pretty significant statistic: Asian Americans are 10 times more likely to attain a bachelor's degree than Mexican Americans. A better educated populace leads to a more powerful voice in government.

2) An Asian candidate for governmental office is more likely to garner the vote of white America than a Hispanic candidate, because of the current backlash over immigration. Asians have never been noted for making too many waves, while in recent history, Hispanics have been very vocal. And while some of the reasons they're vocal are legitimate, it creates a negative view in the minds of white Americans who feel that they have no right to complain when they come here illegally.

Obviously the word racist is over used. I am displeased by lots of conditions created by illegal immigration:
1. Learn English if you want to live and work here.
2. Pay Federal Income Tax
3. Register your car, have insurance, get a driver's license.

Now does any of that sound racist- becuz if it does:
you might be a moron!!!!!
All of the above are expected of American citizens - red, yellow, black or white.
If you arrive here illegally you are a criminal- you knew it when you climbed under the fence and you will be punished(hopefully to the fullest extent of the law) when you are caught.

It's all wrong and it's the same in the UK. I think because immigrants will make up such a huge part of the population, the government wants to keep them happy so when they become legal (it will probably happen sooner or later) they'll get votes from them. I don't think it's racist to want to keep your identity!

It is racism! But its okay if you are a minority to be racist, they think that justifies it. I guess when whites become the minority, we will get to be racist and have things handed out to us because of our skin color.

Some people are unable to find enough worth in themselves as human individuals, so they are more comfortable believing they are members of some special group.

I don't know anyone who ever chose their race, and I don't know anyone who earned membership in their race, either.
