A prenuptial agreement or antenuptial agreement, commonly abbreviated to prenup or prenupt, is a contract entered into by two people prior to marriage or civil union. The content of a prenuptial agreement can vary widely, but commonly includes provisions for the division of property should the couple divorce and any rights to spousal support during or after the dissolution of marriage

It is a contract between two people stating, before marriage, the details of their divorce. I often think it's better for people with less money to get prenup; that way they aren't broke when their marriage ends. People also put terms of their marriage into a prenup, and if terms are not witheld to by either party, the marriage can be dissolved benifiting the upset party. My advice, get one. You never know who will end up more successful in a relationship and nobody wants to be screwed, especially when their marriage just ended. Good luck, and God Bless.
