Running a house and doing it well is a rewarding job in itself and takes a lot of effort if done well. If more women would do it then there would be fewer problems with children and more marriages would be happier. Children and husbands are happier in a well-managed house where there is a good and interesting meal on the table in the evening, the laundry is done, the house clean, children taken to their appointments on time, where the mother has the time to be active in their children’s schools such as the PTA and school class trips. The list goes on and on. Children who have stay at home mothers who manage their homes well are usually better behaved and feel more secure. Some people say homemakers are uneducated or not smart and that is not always the case, many career women choose to stay home after having children as they realize the importance of the family. To them nothing is more important than family and that is a good thing to realize.

Money is the key word when it comes to career women. Another key is divorces or marriage problems happen with lack of money. Managing a home is difficult when you have kids. From the time you wake up until the time you go to bed you are working, but some people don't see that. There's a lot of career women who quit their jobs to stay at home with their children...would you call them incapable as well? Of course not.

It's all a matter of choice and often necessity.
Some women like to work.
They like the respect, the career and the independence that goes with paid employment.
Some women have to work out of necessity, the household finances need them to be employed.

Other women prefer to raise their children themselves.
No one situation is better or worse than the other.

Both options come with there own rewards and sacrifices.
No woman should be made felt less than, for the course they choose.

I'm in a lucky position halfway between each, I work from home and raise my daughter at the same time.
That's what I chose.

Working Women need to part-spend their time in building up the so called 'career' as well as managing the home; whereas the house wife is free from one task and she has all 24 hours to spend for household work.

Its up to the jurisprudence of the working women to decide the importance of her tasks and allot her little available time accordingly. But her time is not in her hands.

The housewife has the time in her hands and only has to manage her house in the enormous time available to her. She has time to think, work and rest.

I do not agree, I find housewives better managers than a career woman. if you look at her assignments you would find that she manages all the portfolios of a company: Human Relations, Finance, Security, Home Ministry.

there was a study done to try and estimate what a housewife/mothers worth is in todays economy. I cant remember the exact amount, but the salary that a mother/housewife would command (if it were a paid position) was very high....i wish i could remember how much, i was surprised at how high it was...but it proves that people shouldnt look down on women who stay at home. Its one of the toughest jobs there is.
(by the way i'd be classed as a career woman, so im not biased in this answer)

maybe because a career woman has something to prove (like education and socialization) that i think are seldom acquired by housewives...a career woman has the lime light while the housewives are at the backstage

Don't believe it a homemaker takes a larger commitment and requires more foresight than any 8 to 5 especially if kids are involved. Don't rely on Hollywood or magazines to get validation they are the wrong source. They have to be controversial to sell their products.

Because a career woman is out working a paying job to help the house hold. Not B.S. -ing around at home eating all day and getting fat, and gossipping all day long !!
