I suppose anything can happen. People fall in love over the net , so why not the phone? Love is what you feel inside and as long as 2 people connect I see that it could happen

I think it is possible for that to happen, but you have to understand you're taking a chance that person may not be as true as you may think.

If he / she has an email address, then have that person send you a photo showing that they're having fun with friends. With a picture you will be able to determine their age and the type of friends they hangs arounds with.

A person voice on the phone may sound sweet and pleasant... but "Want you hear on the phone may not be the same as what you may imagine the person may look like."

Be careful, we all have this expectation about what our true love is suppose to look and be like, but can it be true LOVE or true LUST that we are hoping to find? Only you can know the answer to that question.

Until you meet with them and get to know their personality, will you be able to say "Yeah! it is true that you can fall in Love over the phone."

I can only say that you should be patient and let time hold the key to that special person's heart that will unlock the LOVE in your heart... for it will be worth many years of true happiness that you long been waiting for.

If you're not a shallow person, I guess it could be possible. But would it be classified as true love, or a deep liking for/strong friendship with potential to be more? Depends on how long of a time period they've been talking on the phone. It's my firm belief that you have to know someone awhile before you know if it's love. True love develops over time. People are easily fooled sometimes and find it hard to tell the difference between Like/Lust/Love.

Absolutley, I know a few couples that have met and even married without having met in person first, their relationship was well under way by the time they did finally meet and then it was love at first sight as well

yes, you can. But still, you have to meet to feel it. Sometimes, after you meet in person, you don't have the feelings.

Example 1
I was very active on the phone, email and letter with a guy and we actually fell for each other. In reality, we do meet in person, but we never talked much. He knows me very well, but we can only converse effectively and truly through communication devices but not in person. He made the moves, but i just don't feel like it even though i used to like him a lot.

Example 2
A friend of mine met a person on ICQ and later they met in person. Now, they are married. They are even from different races.

Definitely yes! but the only problem is when you meet him in person, will the feelings still the same? What if you meet and you got turn off with the way he dress up or the way he looks? or vice versa..You can never tell, until you meet in person and you both still like each other.. then good for you.. Coz' beleive me, there are people when they meet in person, the feelings fade. got to find out until you meet.

You can fall in love any time, any where, any way...it's all in the perception of the situation and the players involved. Good luck with this, your first face to face encounter will tell how well you assessed things.
