I agree...
I always double filter any tapwater that I drink... I know it gets rid of most chlorides... but I don't know if it gets rid of the fluorides.
I'm from Texas, and the water is so gross here. It has a flavor that is somewhere between algae, dirt, and feces. They supposedly filter it - but I still have to filter it with the filter in my fridge, and then filter it again with a Brita pitcher before I can drink it... either that or squeeze lemons into it and hold my nose... but then I still have a sick aftertaste. I wouldn't be surprised if the water in Texas really is poisonous - if it is, it probably has something in it that makes people retarded - which would explain why there are so many retarded people in Texas. (Most of the state of Texas supports Bush - if you want an idea of the general level of intelligence here).
I would drink only bottled water - but it's expensive, and not really that good for the environment, I mean, I recycle, but the recycling process isn't exactly pollution-free.
Man... I'm too much of a hippy to be living in Texas... Texas is the most polluted state in the country. I think so anyway.

By the way, where did you come across those facts? I'm interested in looking more into that.
