You didn't say that your daughter lost consciousness so she may have had a Grade 1 concussion with some temporary confusion. Vomiting can be a symptom of both concussion and skull fracture. But there are many other signs and symptoms she could have presented with in the case of concussion such as persistent headache, dizziness, lack of coordination, double vision, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), incoherent speech, confusion, disorientation to time, date and place, amnesia about what took place just before she hit her head and nausea or vomiting.

The signs and symptoms for skull fracture include many of those for concussion and then some.

Kids are pretty tough and the chances are she's fine but if she has vomited repeatedly, it wouldn't hurt to have her seen by a doctor to rule out even a minor brain injury. In the meantime should her behavior change dramatically, call 911. I kid you not.

I seriously doubt her vomiting and other symptoms arose from her fall. My step-daughter fell and hit her chin hard enough to break the skin (there was no edge to cut it, it was just the pressure that broke the skin). I took her to the emergency room, and they told me to wake her every hour for 24 hours to check for concussion. Another mother I know had one of her girls get a concussion and she started vomiting about an hour or two after she fell. My cousin (now in high school) fell when she was very little and was vomiting within an hour or two of her fall.

If she'd fallen today, I'd say get her to the ER, but 3 days later, I don't think you need to associate the fall with her symptoms.

These are signs of head trauma. The fact that it has been 3 days now before the symptoms could be a coincidence, but I would not take the chance, see a doctor.

i'm rather sorry on your nerve-racking adventure. Now you realize the place she works, if she would not get fired for that outburst. She desires to recover from her loss and you reminded her of what surpassed off, and extra insult to break by potential of not right now recognizing her like she theory she recognised you. All you're able to do is keep away from her and wait it out. you will desire to in all likelihood communicate over with somebody approximately how the completed element has affected you besides. sure she lost her 'toddler' yet you have been traumatized too. do not underestimate the end result the incident has had on you, and now this. shop your head up. injuries ensue. do not physique of recommendations her anymore. You sent a condolence card and it became right into a fabulous gesture. a great style of human beings might have in simple terms stored good on making use of yet you purchased in contact and that shows which you're a solid individual. She herself would be feeling accountable because of the fact she is to blame for retaining the dogs out of the line and different risky places and she or he's often occurring with this. yet she will't yell at herself, or face the undeniable fact that it rather is partly her fault, so it rather is extra handy to take all her harm and frustration out on you. Time will heal the two one among you. stay removed from her, stay your life, stay a solid individual and each little thing works out interior the top. better of success to you.

I love this!!! My daughter hit her head THREE DAYS ago, she's throwing up, and I thought I'd waste one or two more days asking a bunch of losers on the internet what they might think it is. You are a horrible parent, and you should have your child taken as far away from you as they can take her!!!! GO TO A DOCTOR!!!!

Definitely call a doctor. Head trauma to a child could be serious. But it also could be a coincidence. You don't want to take any chances. Believe me, I work in the ER. I've seen everything.

It may be nothing or it may be something very serious. Hence I would suggest you to consult a doctor immediately and have a scan to ensure that their are no internal injury to head giving rise to blood clots which would trouble the patient even after 6 months also.

Temperature? Usual flu symptoms? If she had a bad strike to the head, you can't rule out some type of concussion. Check with your pediatrician. They should have someone "on-call" that you can talk to tonight. Good luck!

I'd go to a doctor too. It could be coincidence but it's better to go and find out she's ok than to not go and find out she has an injury.
