Throwing an object at a car or house is against the law. An egg will ruin the finish on a car. If you get caught either by the owner, or on a security video cam, you can be prosecuted. It's not worth it. Don't do it.

There are many possible charges, the least of which is vandalism, and if people are in the house, it could be termed battery, and even assault. Then if a house, you could be guilty of trespass laws, and in some states, the owner could even shoot you with the reason that you were attacking with an unknown weapon and he feared for bodily harm. With the current fear of terrorists, you might be dead and the homeowner freed on all charges as justifiable homocide.

The answer is yes but since you asked you must think that it OK. Let me ask how you would feel if it was your car and the paint was damaged which could happen. Or perhaps you could us a little imagination. What you hit someone and caused them to fall which resulted in a head injury from which they died. Sometimes what seems like an innocent prank could turn into something pretty serious.

I believe it's considered destruction of property and vandalism. Also I think it could be considered a felony. It's not a good thing to do. It actually damages the paint on houses and cars.

Ask yourself this question first - would you want it done to your car or your house? And isn't there a better use of eggs that pissing someone off? If I caught someone egging my house or my car, I would respond with more than just eggs - you know, it is science, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction so be prepared for something to happen to YOU.

Malicious mischeif. Misdemeanor charge. Fine and maybe a night in jail. You would also be liable for any damages or cleaning that had to be done. This would be through a civil court though.

Ignore the goober above me, he does not know what he's talking about, and you will get arrested if caught. The charge will follow you around as part of your criminal record forever.

Yes, But... Not if it's your house. Or if the owner is okay with it. Otherwise chances are it is either vandalism, destruction of property or worse.

Yes, it's vandalism. I had someone arrested for it and he ended up in court with me and paid to have my entire car (a BMW at the time) repainted, and still has the arrest on his record.
