Not at all. There are somewhere between 3 and 4 hundred religions in the world and each has it's own concept of death. And, religion aside, people believe very differently. Some believe we die and that's it, others believe we die and go to heaven or hell and others believe we are reincarnated. Some people believe we have souls and others don't. Some people think aliens will take them away and they will live forever. Some think our bodies are pods and our souls are contained in them and we will be free of our bodies upon dying and be free to roam as we wish. For each person there is a different belief about death. We learn from our ancestors and add our own beliefs to those.

Fruitloop--What is the American ideal of death?-Is it that you die after retiring from a good job and spend your last days as some one in Florida with your wife of 30 years and many grandchildren around the country prospering? You'd better believe that each and every one of us has their own ideas about dying but hey, if you wanna make me a martyr, promise me a bunch of virgins--I'm gonna be interested all the same-LOL
