if you say that someone living in a foreign country has gone native, you mean that they have lost some of their own character because they have started to behave like the people in that country

The person has gone back to living off the land,like the natives would have. Or as a derogatory statement it means they have gone wacko, crazy and violent like a cannibal for example.

It means a person has given up the lifestyle of his home country and has adopted the lifestyle of the natives in whatever foreign country he is now living in.
