The suffix -eist comes from the word theism, so the worldview would have to be related to a view of God; monotheist, atheist, deist, etc. Many different religions believe that a certain amount of adversity makes people stronger, so I don't think there would be one that would soley fit the bill.

Christianity believes this, buddhism does as well. Agnosticism, deism, the list goes on.

Many classical Greek cynics suggested that angst, sadness, and isolation make a person stronger.

Realists often suggest that negative experiences lead to growth.

Monks, especially the early desert fathers, believed that only those who had come to grips with their own unhappiness and disappointment could move on to wisdom and compassion. So monasticism and anti-materialist philosophies are consistent with the situation posited in your question. Many Buddhists and Hindu yogas teach this as well.

Some existentialists (Sartre and Camus, e.g.) mentioned their own angst, sadness, and isolation...but existentialism doesn't posit that these things make you stronger.
