Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast." This reminds me that no matter what mistakes I may make in my life God will still love me. Salvation isn't based upon doing good things or being a good person. Praise God that he will forgive and save a sinner like me!

Oh, there are so many, and different ones depending on where I'm at and how I'm feeling on any given day. But the one that stands out at this very moment would be from Matthew 11:28-30.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

I would say my reason for it is just that these verses offer so much comfort and peace to me. I've been wrestling with certain things as of late, and these verses remind me that the ultimate solution to any of my needs comes from Jesus, "the Way, the Truth, and the Life." John 14: 6

However long you may live, enjoy your life to the fullest. But do not forget the dark days and know that the end is both certain and final. Ecclesiastes 11:8

Here is a lament that suites me:

Lam 1:20 "See, O LORD, that I am in distress;
My soul is troubled;
My heart is overturned within me,
For I have been very rebellious.
Outside the sword bereaves,
At home it is like death.
What ever your situation you can find something that meets you where you are at and leads you to hope.

Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

Because it proves that God blessed Ishmael and his descendants including prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
