Why is it that when people don't like what the Bible says they always tend to attack it? If we don't like it, we deny it. Well, don't we?

Because people tend to be hypocritical in their selection of which verses in the Bible should be adhered to. They quote Leviticus to denounce and condemn LGBT people after a night out at Red Lobster. They're missing the point.

Well, Jesus said He is the TRUTH and He was attacked for it. The Bible is no different. Because it is the truth it will be attacked because the word of God says that people hate the truth and prefer to believe a lie.

Most of the people who attack it haven't even taken the time to examine it. This is a very biased view but everyone has God-given free will. We will all be answerable to God for our actions whether we take the time to read it or not.

One of the reasons that they deny it is because they don't want to acknowledge that there is a higher power to whom they are answerable. But the fact remains - He's there and will judge us whether we believe in Him or not.

The Bible is based on the Word of God. This is now known as The Old Testament and therefore it is necessary to separate our thinking from its mores.
In the New Testament, the message of the Bible altered and thus was founded Christianity.
This became known as 'The Love of Christ'.
The new message of Christianity is based on four Pillars:
Charity-Love-Faith-Belief

If you guys would be happy with your church and leave it at that...everything would be fine.....but you must admit that a lot of you are going out and voting for a shady bunch of characters. You're trying to impose your beliefs on kids by reinstating prayers and promoting Intelligent Design. There's the gay thing and the abortion thing which I don't care about one way or the other but you want to go sticking your righteous noses into. Why are any of you doing these kinds of things....the Bible tells you so.....or so you want to believe. You're dead set against science which, just by chance, seems to be refuting your precious Bible. Pay attention and you won't feel the need to ask these kind of silly questions.

If we don't like what the bible says, it is usually because we don't want to stop sinning. We can't deny the bible and what it says. It is right there in front of our face.....all we have to do is read it.
We always try to change things that we don't like, right? Remember, God left His word for a reason....for us to have rules to follow and to keep us out of trouble and so we can get to heaven with the bible as our roadmap.

The Bible, is a book of a collection of some very good stories. Why do you expect everyone to believe in them or follow what they say?
Religion (any Religion) is force developed by Man (not Woman) to enslave the poeples of the world. And give the despots power.

it because the BIBle is Gods word, it is like salt and light that exposes there sinful nature and reveals the need for a savior. because of this they attack it and reject it. the BIle top them is like puring salt on a swollen open wound. it burns. The word of God is true and people want to live in a lie as long as they can remain complacent. they shouldnt be suprised then when thewy face God on judgeemnt day and he says "depart from me. i never knew you." because this is the issue, the BIble says if we have broken Gods Law *ten Commandments (lying, stealing ect) the BIle says Gods Judgement is coming against us. the penalty is deathg, but Jesus offers life through repentance and faith in him. if we will trust him he is willing to save us, so if your here reading this article do not harden your heart, I know the truth is heartbreaking, but when we look into the ligh of Gods law we then see ourselves how God sees us, so flee to the savior and repent and trust Jesus today.

This is my honest opinion of the whole matter, people tend to act defensive towards things they are scared of or feel threatened by, for lots it is a natural defense, I personally know lots of people like this, for others it is there way of getting back at religious people in general, because there not religious, and they feel if they put them down it will make them feel better, or give them a sense of pride in knowing that they belittled there almighty god and his teachings.

It's not that we don't like the Bible, the Bible is a fascinating primitive ethnocentric comic book. The thing we must attack is the pathologically religious and their attempts to impose their religious fascism upon our democracy. We must attack their assaults on our Constitutional rights to freedom from religion.
