well u dont need to do to church to be close to God. u have a direct connection with ur Lord -- prayer is a direct communication and conversation with God. it doesnt matter where and when u are thinking of Him -- places do not matter but the willingness and devotion to God does. ur heart is ur church and pray and seek guidance from ur Lord.

That's not true! Your salvation is not through the church, it is through Jesus Christ.
However, I didn't go to church for a long time, and I decided it's really important, for many reasons. Your relationship with God will be so much better if you worship with other believers, and even just having fellowship is good for you! I know some churches are awful. I grew up in church, and that's probably why I stopped going. But if you find a good one (especially non-denominational with Biblically sound doctrines - or that's my preference anyway) I think you'll find it's good for you.

We are called to fellowship and help each other. That doesn't necessarily mean Church service. I go because I often feel the presence of the Holy Spirit there and Revelation comes many times out of the pulpit. That's why so many people will walk out of Church each feeling that the pastor/preacher/Father was speaking directly to them alone. The trick is to find a Church where you feel this connection... But, no, I don't think you HAVE to go to Church to get into Heaven. As far as I know, only belief in Jesus Christ, the Son, the Savior is the Way.

No. People who are saved in the final moments of their life and have never gone to church still go to heaven. But, going to church, the right church, will help you to build your beliefs and learn more about God, therefore enabling you to be closer to Him. You also experience the fellowship of people with like beliefs and are therefore encouraged and 'built up' by that companionship. Attending church is beneficial to a believer, but not essential to salvation

THe bible says forsake not the gathering of the saints but i dont think that has much if anything to do with going to church. There are many positives about finding a local, bible based church though. But no, you're not going to hell if you have Jesus but not a church.

I may be wrong in which gospel I'm quoting, but I believe it was the Gospel of St. Thomas that said something to the means that if you turn over a stone, He is there. . . Meaning that you don't need a church to be spiritual and to live your life by the teachings of Jesus Christ. Your heart and your actions are what matters, not whether or not you visit the proscribed facility of worship with regularity.

I don't think it's necessarily the not going to church that causes your soul to go to hell. I think that it's not having that daily sunday reminder of how and why to try to be christlike that keeps us close to heaven. I don't go to church either but I listen on the radio to programs and I try to read the bible at least once a week. I think that keeps me focused. No, I do not think you need to go to church to go to heaven. Most churches are only businesses anyway.

That is not true. Going to church does not make a person religious. Your relationship with God does. As long as you have a personal relationship with God and you have faith -- that's all He asks for.

Do not be deceived by the confusion of these answers. Many people cannot give you a striaght answer because they do not know the Bible. Maria was the only one that was right.

Many people believe in God. You can never be good enough for God. You are imperfect in His eyes. That is why God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for everyone's sin. The only way for salvation is by believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. You must believe in your heart that He died for you, admit that you are a sinner and ask Him to save you from your sins. That is the only way to the father. He is waiting for you to come to this place. John 14:6 (New International Version)
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

After you pray this you should join a church to so you have a place of Biblical teaching but most importantly to worship the LORD.

the church just wants your money and to waste your time each week on things you can do yourself. People that don't go to the church don't give to the church.
