It will be used by old & young alike,& the room is about 12' x 20' with neutral gray carpet...which I plan to change once I decide on the 2 colors.....thanx~~

Light gray , everywhere, close to the carpet color and a darker color ( Green or blue ) in two walls as an accent color to use as a background for pictures or mirrors ...... I would not mix 2 bright colors in same room even if it is large room.

Orange and Blue. Gumball colours, bright, true colours.
My brothers room was like that. Opposite walls the same colours. Looked great!

Since it is a game room, why don't you pick your fav team's colors... like Silver and Black for the Raiders or Laker colors... or DallasCowboy colors...
