Hinduism is more focused upon the gods, which are just parts of a single god. Buddhism, at it's core, is about how an individual can attain enlightenment on their own without Divine Aid. Buddha himself doubted any gods existed. Buddhism puts much emphasis on the practice of meditation, while Hinduism has less emphasis on it.
