I find it hard to keep a straight face when people blame something on Satan. How do they know there is such a thing?

Our modern world makes it difficult to imagine such powerful spiritual beings, doesn't it?

Keep in mind that Jesus met him. He warned us against him. All we can do is try to live a godly life (which is hard enough without worrying about satan) and keep letting God in.

Do I worry about Satan? Not really. There's plenty of ugliness and evil in the world. (And God knows I've got a nasty temper).

Sometimes, though, we get glimpses of hatred and evil that are just so....horrible...so vicious...like seeing that video of Nick Berg getting beheaded by Al Qaeda...you begin to wonder if there is some "spiritual" force at work. It's impossible to know, isn't it?

I wonder sometimes at people who seem to revel in that kind of vicious behavior. It seems like they're going beyond even animal savagery and seeking some sort of hope or revelation or to become something more than they are. It's far beyond some teenager playing with "wicca" or imagining themself a "satanist" for fun; I wonder if it's something far more sinister.

Who can say? I don't have those kind of spiritual powers of perception.

Keep asking tough questions! God wants you to "be discerning".

1. The Bible says so... calls him Lucifer, Satan, fallen angel, angel of light...
2. Jesus spoke of him... and was tempted in the wilderness by him.
3. As a fallen angel spirit, he is the source of all the evil in the world...he and his fellow fallen angels.
4. Ask somone who has been demon possessed if Satan is real... there's no doubt in their minds...
5. Ask a witch or wizard if Satan is real... they are slaves to him.

While people often blame Satan for everything that happens, it is often their own bad choices that get them in trouble. Satan is a finite being. He cannot be everywhere at the same time. Only God can do that. We call it omnipresent.... So it isimpossible for satan to do all the evil in the world... but he certainly does influence people to do evil...and he does have a lot of help with the 1/3 of the angels who fell with him when God kicked him out of heaven.

Satan/Lucifer is a real being. Blaming stuff on satan is a cop-out. That is like me blaming you or another else for a sin I personally committed. Unless they were possessed or even severly oppressed, then I might believe them.

We are all tempted to do evil and immoral things every minute. But we don't act on them. That is our fault. Not the Devil's. We personally have to be stronger than these temptations, that is how we defeat the devil.

of course there is no way to prove that Satan exists. The history says that Satan was an angel of God who rebeled because he disagreed with God when God created man bound to time and also with a spirit. There is no way to know for sure that Satan exists, but therel is plenty of reason to believe. Have you ever heard of the witch doctor who is leading the rebelion in Uganda?

They just need somebody to blame things on -- you know, pointing the finger at somebody else takes the blame from themselves. So, Satan gets the blame, and it makes them feel good because they think they sound holy to other people.

Yes it there but already defeated
'How art tho fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the mornig!
how thou down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
He hate you because he's defeated
Jesus Crhist defeated him since the very beginning he say to you
"Be hold, I set before you this day a blessing an curse;
A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God
which I command you this day:
And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out the way which I command you this day

Just as God, Satan is an invention of religion. The easy way out, so to speak.

Satan is real, but he doesn't cause evil to take place, he merely presents temptation. Humans have the choice in their actions.
