I've been experiencing something like this for about a week now. I has a miscarriage on August 7 and would be almost four months now. If that hadn't happened, I would just chalk the sensations up to a nervous tick or something. Maybe that's all that it is.
I just wish it would stop.

Have you ever heard people who have had a leg or arm amputated or something like that say their legs still itches? I think it's kind of the same thing. I don't get the phantom flutters so much, or least I can't remember getting them I'm pregnant now so I guess I will have to pay attention after this one is born. This is my third. But I do hear my kids crying even when they're not. the other night I got out of bed four times thinking I hear my 1 yr old crying and every time he was sound a sleep. You are not a lone at all.

Yes! I never noticed how much movement I had in my stomach before I had my babies. I haven't been pregnant for four months now and I still get flutters. Personally I think it must be gas or digestive juices flowing but it still is strange how much it feels like a baby moving around in there.

I remember getting my first ones about 2 months after giving birth to my first son. I kept freaking out. They slowed down, but never stopped. Then I had my second son six months ago and they started up again. Each time I get scared that they may not be phantom!!!

I'm so glad you asked this! I have experienced this ever since my daughter was born, its weird! Glad to know I'm not alone. I would guess that its due to a combination of muscle flutters and twitches and gas moving around. now that we have had babies, we are much more aware of those sensations.

My kids are 9 years and 14 years and I still get them! LOL! Freaky huh?
I also still occasionally hear "phantom" crying.. the kind of crying I used to hear when they were babies that would have me checking on them only to find them sleeping soundly. It still happens.

YES! My daughter is seven months old, but I have been feeling that off and on since after she was born! Weird, huh? Sometimes it is just gas and I realize that (lol) but other times I feel that and find myself wanting to have another child already (oh, no!)!! :) I think it is pretty normal!

Yes!!!!! I think it happens to all of us! It must have something to do with cell memory in our brains. Just like I "hear" my son crying even when he's not here. I know he's at the store with daddy, but i still think I hear him on the monitor. I have even gone to check on him in the middle of the night when he was at mt husband's sister's for the night!

I do sometimes, but then I just chalk it up to the bean burrito I had for lunch.
