If you use the pill consistently (take it at almost the same time every day); don't take an antibiotic (which can affect the pill's effectiveness); and have been on the pill a few weeks (not a few days)...it's nearly 100%. Most people use it quite successfully as their only birth control.

The told me that it is 1 in a 100 when i got pregnant while taking the pill and i took it at the same time every day and never ever missed a day.

From what I understand having a guy "pull out" doesn't significantly decrease one's chances of getting pregnant because the penis leaks semen prior to ejaculation. If you use the pill correctly (according to the instructions you should receive with every month's package) your chances of getting pregnant are less than 0.1%, or one in a thousand.
If you are worried about getting pregnant, I'd recommend that you use condoms in conjunction with the pill.

If you take it everyday at the same time, then you should be good. But if you miss just that one day, be CAREFUL there are a lot of women out there that have got pregnant on the pill. You should try the patch or the NuvaRing for birth control, it's a lot more convienent.

I have a beautiful daughter conceived on the pill. My friend has gorgeous triplets conceived on the pill. And another friend has 4 pill babies, and now uses the Mirena (much safer and the MOST effective birth control on the market)

Depends on if you take it the same time every day and never miss one. I was part of the .1% that the pill failed....3 times. I miscarried twice and now my daughter that I carried is 5.
