At my shower we played a game where you cut up pieces of candy bars and put them in a diaper and people had to guess what kind it was. Also, take the labels off baby food and make everyone taste them to see what kind it is.

We played a game where everyone got 10 clothes pins to pin on their shirts at the door. Every time you said the word "baby" (very hard to do at a baby shower) whoever caught you first, got one of your pins. The one with the most wins. We have also done the thing where you put a lot of baby items on a tray and cover it with a towel. Take the towel off and give everybody 30 seconds to look at it all. Cover it back up, and they have to try and remember evrything they saw. Again, the one with the most wins. We've done crossword puzzles too! And put a notebook out so everybody can write down advice and congrats to the mom to be. This is a great keepsake!!!

Make pacifier necklaces for everyone and have them wear them. Then, forbid everyone from saying a certain word such as baby or pregnant. Everytime someone hears another person say the word they get to take thier necklace. The person with the most necklaces at the end of the shower gets a prize.

To make the necklaces use a piece of ribbon and a plastic or real pacifier. Or, you could make them with lifesavers and jelly beans. Glue a blue or pink jelly pean in the center of a large white (mint) lifesaver then glue another lifesaver to the bottom so it looks like a handle then tie the ribbon through the second lifesaver.

For an easier option you could use blue or pink clothespins and have people clip them on thier clothes.

Good Luck and have fun!!!!!

We played 'Baby Gift Bingo.' At the beginning, we gave each guest a blank bingo sheet (we only filled in the free space) and they filled it in with things that they thought I might receive as a shower gift, things like booties, bottles, blankets, high chair, etc. Then, as I was opening gifts, people would be able to cross that gift off of their card. Whoever got a BINGO first, got a prize. We played until we'd given out 5 prizes.

Another game we did was 'Celebrity Baby.' In that one, we got pictures of babies out of magazines, cut out their faces, and put the face of a celebrity in. You try to match up the size of the baby's face with the size of the celebrity picture, it works much better that way. Some people I used were Oprah, Dr. Phil, Jeff Gordon, George Lucas, Sarah Michelle Gellar, J.K. Rowling, Daniel Radcliff, and President Bush. You put each picture onto another sheet of paper for backing (you can usually fit 2 or 3 on a sheet) and number them. People have to guess the celebrity, and whoever gets the most right, wins. It's a lot harder than it sounds, and there were several people on there that noone got right!

And one last thing that I think everyone should do was a drawing for a door prize. What we did was we gave each guest an envelope to fill out their name and adress on, put them all in a basket, and I drew out a few. The people whose envelopes I drew won prizes, and I kept all the envelopes and used them for thank you cards. That way, I didn't have to fill everyone's adress in on my own!

This sounds so much easier than it is!!! We did this at my baby shower and we all had a lot of fun with it.

Take a large bowl and dump a bag of uncooked rice in it. The put closed safety pins in.. mis well. Blindfold your guest and then see how many safety pins they can pull out of the bowl in 1 minute.

It's also fun to have everyone write down their "guess" as to when the baby will actually be born & what the weight will be at birth. My daughter is due Oct 16 and she got her list of "guesses" out the other day to see whose dates were coming up. Have fun!

At one I threw last year, we split into teams of 2-3 and came up with as many songs that had the word "Baby" in the title as possible...there are many!

give everybody a roll of toilet paper & have them tear off a length they think is the circumference of her belly.

Very embarrassing for the mother, but funny too.
