I am really shy. I cannot say anything to people. Any advice on how to overcome this? Thank goodness I do not know the definition of beauty at all. I am in the 2nd year of college. I know if I talk to new girls that are beautiful, I will be nervous. Any pointers on how to talk to anyone new in class, work, bus, library, cafes, and bookstore?

Just talk your mind, just do not worry and just talk to them. That's how I did it. The more you think about it, the more nervous you going to be. You just have to do it!

Hey there, im sure many people have been in your position at one point or another in their life.

It takes time to build up confidence but im sure you can do it.
The first thing you can start saying is hi and perhaps later on when w\you have gained and feel confident you can start by asking them there name and talking about the subjects you are studying.

Same goes for work and library but do remmber that some people are willing to talk to you while others dont borther but thats the reality in life we come across different people.

the main thing is to try and overcome your shyness all you have to do is perhaps smile and say hello and go from there.

good luck...

You need to get a job were you work with the public, but one that doesnt take up most of your time.
This way you can get used to being around girls and talking to them. And when you meet one your job wont get in the way if it's part time..
I suggest a coffee shop if your in collage...
