I don't know about Michigan (though I would suspect the law is similar), but here in California a Highway Patrol officer once told a friend of mine that it is technically illegal because it does contain a very small amount of alcohol. However, he also said he doubts any officer would enforce it unless he/she were looking for something else and uses that as an excuse for a further search. He did say that, under normal circumstances, the driver would be cautioned about driving with an open alcohol-free beverage, since all contain a small amount of alcohol.

Ok idk exactly what this drink is... But if you can buy it under the age of 21 then NO its definatly not illegal to drink it and drive. If it has alcohol in it, its illegal to have an open container. But since its non alcoholic u should be aight.
why are u asking this question anyways if it doesnt have ANY alcohol in it nothing u will come up on a breathelizer and u wont be able to be proven drinking and driving.. unless u had drinks before that.

Yeah probaly because it's illegal for people underage to drink non-alcoholic beer because it still contains everything in a regular beer, except the alcohol of course.

Check state law it's probobly not legal to drive down the road holding ANY open container, just rarely enforced. No lawyer or cop so don't quote me.
