I am in love but the guy that I was dating broke up with me. He said that he was holding me back and said he wanted to be friends but the night that he broke up with me, he still wanted me to stay and sleep in his sisters room. I did leave and he asked me why I left and did not stay the next day.

Sounds like he is thinking of you as more of a friend, or even a sister, he wants you in his life, but does not feel he is right for you. I would say, give it time. Especialy if neither of you has found someone else.

I dont see what you are confused about. He broke up with you, he said he wanted to be friends, he wanted you to sleep in his sisters room. It is over, how much more proof do you need?
