I have experienced great love more than once, and the symptoms are similar each time. When you have discovered your soul mate, you will establish a link that blurs the distinction between each others hearts and minds. Suddenly, everything they feel or do becomes part of your life, as well. This can be a disconcerting experience especially if you are used to being "in control". Suddenly, two have become one, and you will be subjected to the greatest highs and lowest valleys of your life, as you clearly establish the sense of trust that is so critical in this vulnerable state.
A common mistake that is made is to curb these magnificent emotions in favor of a "safer" relationship. If you have been lucky enough to find a soul mate, I urge you to maintain the fullness of your great love throughout your life together.

The signs are different for everyone but here are a few that told me it was true love...when looking at him causes a shiver up your spine, you catch yourself smiling during the day at the mere thought of being able to see him that afternoon, your palms sweat and your heart races when you try to think of what life would be like without him, sitting on the porch swing and watching the sun go down about a million times as you grow old doesnt scare the heck out of you anymore because you know he is going to be right there with you....good luck, I hope you found true love...it's wonderful.

I know it sounds completely cheesy, but true love is when just the thought of that person makes your heart pound. Just thinking, "Oh, I love this person, I wanna be with them forever" doesn't really mean anything on it's own. True love is knowing that, no matter what happens, you'll still love ths person. It isn't about loving this person for what they are, it's about loving this person in spite of what they aren't.

Can you imagine yourself growing old with this person? Do you enjoy going for simple walks and holding hands, not having to talk at all? Is it past the fiery "got to have you!" stage, but you still want to be with this person? Then it's more than likely true love. : )

No gurantees just like everything else it can be or not be and you are always at the mercy of the other person aren't you ? so, that makes it a question that has no real answer. Good luck.

how do you feel around him?
tell me this
and I'll answer you further.
---
it's a special sort of feeling
it's like being happy
like having a secret, deep within yourself, a good sort of secret
sort of warm and fuzzy... sort of happy... sort of tingly and lively...
inside your chest... kind of thing
how do you feel when you're around him?
innexplicably content
when he leaves?
empty? longing to see him again?
yea that's love.
at least what I've felt.
I call it true love.
then again
all love, worthy of the name, is true
that's what love is
friendship, with that special something more
a hidden element, you have to experience it to understand it, it's a pitty there's no word for it.
we english-speakers pride ourselves on our exensive vocabulary, and yet, we lack so many words. many to describe our emotions and physical states, such as love. such as infatuation.
what english needs, is a brace of love-related and love-like words...
because the word love, is an awfully ambiguous concept... unfortunately
even with modifiers...
tell me about your emotions.
I'll tell you about love.
---
contact me if you wish.

First off, true love can only be found a the cross. God is love.
The love I think your referring to is "erso (Greek)" love, or "erotic love". I've heard it said that you know someones the right one for you if you know you can't live without them, literally!

I can't describe it, but you know it when you find your true love. It is different than any other feeling you have ever experienced.
