G'day raliegh,

Thank you for your question.

It depends on the character of the individual dog and your dog may be a loving one. Animal behaviourists recommend care when introducing cats to a household containing a dog so that dogs don't perceive a cat as a rival. You may have also played a part as an owner. It also helps if your dog has grown up in the company of cats.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

If you raise cats with dogs or dogs with cats then they will be used to each other and not try to kill each other. My dog, rest his soul, loved cats because he was raised around cats since he was a puppy. Same with some cats we raised. They loved dogs. It's just how and what they are raised around.

Our Black Lab loves cats as well. He always checks them out when they come in, making sure they are okay and giving them a lick on the head. I think it depends on the nature of the dog.
