All of the answers here are great, but there are couple secrets that "we" cosmetologists know, that we do for you in salon. #1 is use a silicone based product like Sebastian Laminates or Redkin Hair Glass, etc. They should have a "methicone" in the ingredients. Put it in the hair damp and dry...use sparingly, and at least 1/4 inch from the scalp. You may have thought you had straight hair, til you meet these new straightening balms! After you flat iron or blow hair straight(with a metal backed paddle brush), then ...#2 pick up a satin pillow case. Our grandmother's used them to help their hair stay looking beautiful, and your hair will just slide across it! Now you know the "trade secrets"!!!

I did too, but CHEMICALLY! I would suggest you get it permanantly straightened since you seem to do this so much. The new relaxers are SO much more gentle than they used to be. My hair looks so healthy and it is SOOOO soft! Besides, any damage you would get from the relaxer is nothing compared to what you could be doing with that straitening iron. Take the plunge and go to your local salon.
Other than that, I can't think of anything special you could do short of sleeping propped up on pillows so that you are almost sleeping sitting up.
Good Luck!

U should either wrap it or just get a scarf (silk/satin..helps not to break hair) and just tie it like a pirate around your head. If u sleep badly, tie it tight, just don't cut off your circulation. This should be fine for the morning. If you wrap it just pin the ends so it doesn't fall from the wrap, still tie it with a scarf and brush it down in the morning. Your ends should be str8 4 the morning.

I tried a lot of ways and this was the best for me: I bought a velvet cover rubber band and twist that around my hair in a low ponytail.
