It went something like this...
Hi, I just read a question containing a link to a publication of a research study saying that statistically, people of faith have lower IQ's. I think that is wrong. (much wordier)

Answerer: You are assuming that you are smarter than I am because you are an Atheist. You must be an idiot.

I would like to point out that I still don't agree with the study.

And here's the link. It's the ninth answer.

IQ tests, in actuality, really have no bearing on 'intelligence'. The only results that the test(s) can produce are references to how well someone applies acquired knowledge.

Actual intelligence is marked by the ability to exceed what you have been taught. It is not possible to 'test' this, because in order to initiate the test, the author of the test would have to be able to predict that someone will exceed their sum capacity of learning and experience! To base the test, they would have to be able to know and define this ahead of time, and one day of experience could invalidate the test.

Regarding IQ testing, they are suitable for identifying individual learning curves, but the "studies" that were referred to in that original link consist of :a) many studies which predate standardization of IQ testing; (b) opinion polls based on GPA's at various schools (GPA is a measure of achievement, not intelligence. Any Psych major can tell you that people with OCD tend to blow away people with ADD in GPA's, but ADD's tend to run higher in intelligence testing); (c) some of the tests cited had absolutely nothing to do with intelligence, but location, casting a broad sweep that peoples intelligence also varies by where they live.

In actuallity, that answerer stomped on his own toe.

I'm not sure if you are saying you think believers are smarter or atheists/agnostics. However, MENSA did s study during the yearly part of the 20th century that showed statistically Atheists are more likely to have higher IQ's than Believers. The study drew much controversy so MENSA has never done a followup.

That being said statistically servery have been done from leading scientists. Leading Scientists are Much more likely to have dis-belief in a deity. Here is a link to the study in the scientific journal of Nature.

I do not believe that about the IQ. Personally, I have found that most of the atheists that I have met on here are far more knowledgeable and intelligent that any of the believers that I have encountered. This is true because the atheists have taken the time to research and study a lot of various resources while believers only rely on their religious books. Books that make no sense and are fabrications.

i'm with C.Lea. What you said is unquestionably demonic. Plz locate the e book, 'vacation Into the Supernatural' through Roger Morneau. His journey as a theistic luciferian grew to develop into Christian can help you to extra perfect understand what's occurring. Plz do not imagine you're going loopy...it has some thing to do with the relations who's kids you're toddler-sitting.

Sometimes it is true, but I know some brilliant scholars who are Christain. Those who are truly hung up on their brillance are the ones who struggle with faith. They believe they are to smart to be told anything.
