Brian Jones. He was the founder and original lead guitarist. He quit the band for a variety of reasons shortly before he drowned. His contributions to the band were diminishing due to his erratic behavior and increasing drug use. By this time in the band's history, Jagger and Richards were doing most of the writing anyway.

Only two Stones have died....Brian Jones and the 6th stone Ian Stewart. One who played Keyboards and Did NOT participate in the photo shoots.
