I was thinking in a device that will allows me to capture video (from a s-video camera). Or maybe just connect it to the tv, any suggestions?

(Take the S-Video Cable and plug it into the video out port on the back of the laptop(round plug with 3 prongs on top 4 below) then connect it to the S-Video on back of TV)

Yes, there are devices out there for just such a purpose; I do it all the time at home. We use the cable that usually connects to the VCR (has three prongs on each end, one yelloy, one white, one red) and a special adaptor that plugs into your "video out" port on the back of your laptop. You actually need speakers as well, or another cable to connect the audio.

However, there are even simpler devices, like the one shown here: http://www.svideo.com/prosvideo12.html , which combines the regular TV cables and the adaptor into one cable, and even includes the audio component.

Once that's done, of course you've got some settings to adjust on your computer itself, but that's easy enough if you have the hardware in place. Then just sit back and enjoy!

you need software called media center and then you can connect via RCA cables (yelow-picture, white and red for sound) or combination of DVI and optical cables depend on your laptop, if you want to record some programs then you need to hook it up to a source (reciever or cable box), tv is just a monitor, for capturing video from videocamera you can use any video editing program such as windows movie maker or showbiz
